Project Description Country: USA Location: Orange County, CA Total Budget: $8,400 Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy Activity Type: RI Youth Programs (Youth Exchange, RYLA, Rotaract, Interact) Summary: The grant will help fund two projects: (1) Annual Fishing Derby on the Seal Beach Pier; and (2) Pizza for each Interact Club meeting of the Los Alamitos and Cypress clubs. (1) Annual Youth Fishing Derby will be held on August 17, 2024. Grand funds will be used to offset the cost of city permits, awards and supplies. In excess of 300 children plus family participate. (2) Pizza for Interact Clubs: The Rotary Club of Los Alamitos/Cypress/Seal Beach supports two Interact Clubs: Los Alamitos HS and Cypress HS. Grant funds will help offset the cost of Pizzas at each meeting. Rotarians order, deliver, serve & interact with Interactors at meetings.
