A part of the Poway Unified School District, the Youth in Transition program serves homeless families by seeking to remove barriers to enrollment, attendance, and academic success. Families who live in any of the following situations may qualify for services:
Emergency or transient shelters
Hotel or motel - no fixed or regular nigh time due to economic hardship
Unsheltered - cars, parks, public spaces, abandoned buildings etc.
Temporarily with another person due to economic hardships
Learning Support Services
These funds will be used to provide backpacks and school supplies for these Youth in Transition living under the above conditions that due not have the economical means to purchase supplies needed to start the new school year.
