Project Description Country: USA Location: Fountain Hills, AZ Total Budget: $4,500 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Water, sanitation and hygiene, Maternal and child health Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: General Summary: Fountain Hills The grant we are requesting is to purchase and deliver food needed by the Extended Hands Food Bank in Fountain Hills. They provide need food items for approximately 3000 food insecure individuals a month in a 10 zip code area. I'm the Club member who gets a monthly list of needed food, purchases and delivers it. Other Club members volunteer to pack bags or boxes of food on an as-needed basis. Club members participate in fund raising activities such as the annual golf fundraiser to provide the pledge and other monies for a Four Peaks Rotary Foundation grant that adds to the total amount that we're able to spend purchasing food.
