Project Description Country: USA Location: Valentine, NE Total Budget: $1,000 Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation Summary: Replace damaged playground slide in Ecology Park for children in Valentine, NE When a local Rotarian took relatives to Ecology Park to play on the playground equipment, it was discovered the slide, one of the most popular pieces of equipment, was damaged due to wear and tear, weather and age and had become unsafe. The Valentine Rotary Club elected to replace the slide to eliminate safety concerns and so the children of the community could have a new piece of playground equipment to use. The project funds will purchase the replacement slide and accessories needed to install it. Rotary members will help assemble the slide and install it at the park.
