Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Kearney

Total Budget: $836

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Education: Literacy

Summary: Financial support for Crane River Theater's Yearly Page to Stage Library Outreach Program.

For the past twelve years, Kearney's Crane River Theater has traveled to libraries across Nebraska with their "Page to Stage" program. Using nationally-acclaimed actors from Crane River Theater's upcoming productions, they quite literally transform the page into a stage in an interactive and engaging hour-long performance. Page to Stage focuses on taking a well-known storybook and bringing it to life with the hope of inspiring imaginations and instilling a love for the arts. Allowing children the opportunity to see characters jump from the page to the stage in this hour-long interactive performance is invaluable. Crane River Theater presents Page to Stage to thousands of youth each summer and is excited to reach out to even more communities in the years to come. The Kearney Noon Rotary Club wants to financially support this program with our 2025-2026 district grant application.
