Identified Needs:
A regional survey conducted across 45 public schools in Didymoteicho and Soufli (Northern Greece) revealed that although basic sanitation infrastructure exists, 0% of teachers had ever received formal hygiene education, and students lacked structured hand hygiene habits.
Project Approach:
This Global Grant aims to provide an integrated solution by:
Installing over 90 hand sanitizer stations with educational displays
Training more than 100 teachers by local physicians to become hygiene educators
Delivering a custom hygiene curriculum to over 3,450 students
Engaging municipalities to ensure long-term maintenance and follow-up
Use of Funds:
Funds will be used for purchasing and installing sanitizer units, printing educational material.
Club Involvement:
Club members will participate in project oversight, attend training events, help distribute materials to schools. International partner clubs will be invited to join coordination calls and receive detailed updates.
